Beautiful, Low Maintenance Soffit & Fascia Wrap Installations

When you look up at your roof you naturally look at the edges of you roofs perimeter where your gutters attach to your home. This area is called the Cornice and Soffit "a horizontal architectural element of a building, projecting forward from the main walls, originally used as a means of directing rainwater away from the building's walls". This Cornice and Soffit Underpinning overhang along with the diagonal rakes of the roofs edge over time when made of wood will begin to show signs of deterioration typically at the corners and butt joints of the lumber used to make it. The maintenance of having to paint these arears every 5 years or even having to possibly Rebuild these areas with new lumber can become very costly. Aluminum Coated PVC is a good solution for wood soffits and fascias in awful shape. It’ll take less time to bury them behind aluminum trim than to repair, scrape and repaint the old wood. Plus it will save you a Bundle in the future if left untreated.

Fix the roof first. If you hide problems, they’ll only get worse! Chances are, if your soffits or roof framing is water damaged, you have serious roof problems that you must solve before starting this project. Even though water won’t damage the new aluminum, you may actually accelerate underlying wood decay by burying evidence of leaks. Common problems are ice dams, shingle edges that are broken off or that don’t project far enough, and even sagging shingles that form a trough just behind the fascia. You may even need a new roof. If you’re not sure, have ResPros Roofing, Siding & Gutters come out to take a look.
